The Scamp Grouper and Amberines bite is on fire! We’re reeling in plenty of Amberines and Scamp on our 8- and 10-hour charter fishing trips. Amberines, similar to Amberjack but smaller, offer a great fight and are excellent eating. Scamp, part of the grouper family, are typically found in deep waters of 200 feet or more. While they may not put up the toughest fight, they more than makeup for it with their incredible flavor—some of the best in the Gulf.
