The Scamp Grouper and Amberines bite is hot. We are catching Amberines and Scamp on our 8 and 10 hr charter fishing trips. Amberines are like an Amberjack but only smaller. They are good eating and put up a good fight. Scamp are in the grouper family and are usually caught in deep water, 200 feet or better. What they don’t have in fight they make up in table fare. They are considered some of the best eating of all fish we catch in the Gulf. To fish for these fish requires a 10 to 12 hr charter fishing trip.
